Last Minute Show

The following weekend I was planning on attending Firefly Fest in Dover, Delaware.  The only thing preventing me from leaving on the next leg of my journey was the absence of a very important package - the tent that I needed for almost every stop of my trip.  I grew increasingly concerned as day after day passed without it's delivery.  However, in a way it was a good thing my tent never arrived because it gave me the opportunity to drive to Toronto to see Imagine Dragons preform at the Budweiser Stage.  I din't have a media pass for the show but I wasn't going to let that stop me from getting some of the best concert photos I've ever gotten. (If you're legitimately interested in how I got my camera into the concert feel free to private message me and I can tell you how it's done).  It was an incredible show that I'm glad I din't miss, however staying to see the show gave me a very small window to make it down to Delaware in time for the first day of the festival.

Day One

     So technically my road trip started out back on June 9.  Close to my home town a music festival called Ever After was taking place and I even managed to snag some media passes from the University of Guelph.  Now not only was this festival special because I got media it was also the first festival where I din't go on my own.  The ability to experience a festival consistently with someone I have a connection with rather than fleeting moments with strangers was a welcome change of pace.  I din't have the stress of trying to make new friends and I didn't have to worry about meeting the wrong people, which has happened on more than one occasion.  However I knew that it was only going to get harder from that point on.  I'd be on my own for the rest of the trip and if I didn't want that to be the case the whole time I had better improve my social skills.  I'm sure anybody my age can relate to the social paradox that you need friends to mak...

Welcome

I've never done this before so I'm going to do my best to keep this as interesting as possible.  I'm also not going to fill this with fluff.  Sure I'm doing this really cool thing and perhaps some of you wish you could do the same but it's not all sunshine and rainbows.  So far i've pushed myself to my limits and there have been situations that have scared me more than anything else in my life.  I won't go into detail but I want you to know that no matter what you're doing or where you are its never easy.  That's the point though... I think.  My decision to leave home was fueled both by my desire to see the world and also to find a place that actually feels like home.  So with that said I left all i've ever known and entered a infinite pool of uncertainty in hopes of finding something better - becoming better.
